The proposed
Derby Hotel, which was to become the notorious hole in the
ground, this derelict site remained like this from 1989 to remarkably 1996.
A fine Victorian building was pulled down in the process to make way for the
hotel which never materialised, it is now the Sir Peter Hilton
Memorial Garden.
Some old reminders of the proposed Derby Hotel in the Market
Place, these were taken during 1990 and 1991, and were
originally shot on 35mm slide film |
