Allestree Park and Hall comprises of 320 acres of woodland, open parkland, a lake, and a golf course. The golf course was established in 1930. The Hall was built in the late 18th Century and is a grade II listed building but has laid abandoned since the 1980s. Next to the hall is pet's corner which is home to rabbits, ducks, peacocks and chickens.

The park can be accessed from either Woodlands Road or off Duffield Road. There is parking facilities at both entrances.

During the war the army requisitioned the park and hall, and after the war, the ownership passed to Derby Corporation, now the City Council, who continue to preserve the park for the people of Derby.

Allestree Hall left with views across the golf course and park below

This mysterious looking bunker was in fact a cold room, over time graffiti has been daubed on the walls giving the impression it was a air raid bunker, where in fact it's true purpose was for storing food, ice was packed into the storage room to keep the produce fresh, this was sited near to the Victorian walled garden, it has now been filled in

Below are various views across and around the lake, this is a very popular location with fisherman and also with the local wildlife!
